  • 1 cup cubed & cold Unsalted Butter Ensure butter is cold for flakiness

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 ½ cups GF Flour Blend, ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp xanthan gum (if using).

  • Add 1 cup cubed & cold unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  • Gradually add ½ - ¾ cup ice water, a tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough begins to come together. Add more water if necessary.
